Daniela Bustamante Figari
b. 2001
Lima, Perú
Peruvian multidisciplinary artist working across ceramics, painting, and textiles. She graduated with a BA in Fine Arts at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2024), where she was awarded both the Merit and Contemporary Practice scholarships. Her work draws inspiration from nature and the human experience, using material play as a foundation for an ongoing dialogue with the self.
Her practice explores the subtle, often invisible connections that bind natural systems and human experience. She draws from organic forms to create works that feel both intimate and expansive, as if emerging from a living environment.
She has exhibited her work in Peru and the United States, including collective exhibitions at Ginsberg Tzu (2024), Casa 100 in Lima (2024–2025), and others. Professionally, she worked as a Studio Assistant at DTK Ceramics (Chicago, IL), contributing to the production of high-quality ceramic dinnerware, and as a Gallery Sales Assistant for Revolver Gallery during IN/SITU Expo Chicago 2024.
Upcoming: ‘En la lentitud, sentimos el pulso de las cosas’. 2027
Solo exhibition, Galería Le Carré D’Art. Alianza Francesa La Molina. Lima, Peru.
